The Canon EOS R8 is my main camera because it’s fast, light, and gives really good full-frame image quality. I use it for most of my shoots since the autofocus is reliable and it works in pretty much any situation. It’s the camera I always grab because it’s fast, reliable, and has beautiful colors.

This is my main lens for portrait photography. The 85mm focal length gives me a natural perspective and allows me to get nice separation between my subject and the background. I really like the way it renders portraits, while the f/2 aperture lets me work in lower light and create a softer background.

The Macro capability is also a nice bonus for close-up photography, giving me another way to use the lens outside of portraits. The built-in image stabilization is especially useful when shooting handheld.

Overall, this is the lens I reach for when portrait photography is the priority.

The Canon RF 50mm F/1.8 STM is my second favorite lens because it’s small and simple but still gives really sharp photos. I use it a lot for portraits and general shooting because the 50mm look feels natural. It’s just an easy lens to take with me when I don’t want to overthink my setup, and it’s perfect for vacations or city trips.

The Canon RF 16mm F/2.8 STM is the lens I use the least because it’s very wide and not always useful for the kind of photos I usually take. I mainly bring it out when I need a lot of the environment in the frame or want a more creative, distorted look. Most of the time it stays in my bag unless I specifically plan for wide shots.

The Canon RF 24-105mm F/4-7.1 IS STM is the lens I mainly use for street photography and vacations because of how versatile the zoom range is. I can go from 24mm for wider shots and capturing more of the environment to 105mm when I want to get closer to something without physically moving. It’s especially useful when travelling, going on city trips, or doing outdoor activities because I don’t always know what kind of photo I’m going to take next. Having such a wide range in one lens makes it easy to adapt without constantly changing lenses.
